Keith Torbet, Police Chief
Chief Torbet passed a book published by Community Safety Net. This is an organization that solicits funds for safety books. We have teamed up with them to bring the
Drug Safety Book to the Wauseon schools. It comes with an interactive DVD for the kids to go on-line and do different games. They can actually win prizes with this company. This is geared toward grades 4 through 6. Our goal is to purchase 170 books. Right now 85 books have been sponsored. The books cost $15 each.
We received a MARCS radio which was donated to us through the Homeland Security Grant. We are working with the EMA office to get our radios hooked up the same as the Fulton County Fire as well as Lucas County. It doesn’t matter whose radio is picked up, the radios will be programmed the same in this region. All costs will be covered by EMA.
